Chaitanya Institute for Mental Health initiated its work in the field of psychosocial rehabilitation to address the mental health challenges in Nepal. Chaitanya’s goal is to reintegrate the chronic mentally ill persons back into their families and society. Visiting Psychiatrist

The Visiting Psychiatrist will prescribe, direct, or administer psychotherapeutic treatments or medications to treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders.
Education qualification preferably MD in Psychiatry, or Diploma Course in Psychiatry or Diplomate of National Board (DNB) Psychiatry with a minimum of 2 years of experience. Graduating students are encouraged to apply.

Clinical Psychologist

The Clinical Psychologist will provide effective individual, family and group psychotherapies, design long-term and short-term individuals plans and evaluate the effectiveness of counseling and modify plans and diagnosis if necessary.
Education qualification required is Master’s degree, MPhil, or doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology or related field and an in-depth knowledge and experience in individual, group, and family psychologY.

Pyschiatric Counselor

The Residential Psychiatric Counselor will analyze information and medical records, consult with other professionals, and diagnostic evaluations, in order to assess patient’s abilities, needs, and eligibility for counseling services.
Education qualification preferably Master’s Degree in Social Work (Medical and Psychiatric Social Work), Psychology, or bachelor’s degree with a minimum of three years of experiences in counseling.

Pyschiatric Nurse

The Residential Psychiatric Nurse will gather and maintain patient information and records, and collaborate with physicians, psychologists, social workers, other psychiatric nurses, or other professionals to discuss treatment plans and progress.
Education qualification preferably Midwifery/Psychiatric Nursing Diploma/Certificate, recognized by Nepal Nursing Council or basic B.Sc Nursing from a recognized University.
